Steve Nemeth is widely recognized as one of the top coaches in youth hockey, with a track record that speaks for itself. Having coached thousands of players, his dedication, knowledge, and unique coaching style have earned him respect throughout the hockey community.

A former professional player himself, Nemeth's journey began with a solid junior career in the WHL, where he played for the Lethbridge Broncos and the Kamloops Blazers. His performance there earned him a spot on the New York Rangers in the NHL. Nemeth’s time in the NHL and with the Canadian National Team gave him exposure to high-stakes national and international competition, including his involvement in the 1987 World Junior Championships. Throughout his career, both as a player and coach, Nemeth has demonstrated strong leadership, integrity, and a passion for the game.

After retiring 1999, Nemeth transitioned into coaching and hockey instruction, applying his firsthand knowledge of elite-level play to youth development. His ability to connect with young athletes and mentor them not only as hockey players but as individuals has been a cornerstone of his success. Nemeth’s coaching philosophy focuses on skill development, game intelligence, and mental toughness, preparing players for the competitive and fast-paced environment of the elite hockey divisions.

As the head coach and owner at the Acreage Hockey Shooting Center, Nemeth’s ability to develop players' shooting, skating techniques  and  hockey IQ, among other skills, has proven to be invaluable. His hands-on approach, coupled with his extensive playing experience, gives young players the tools they need to excel.
